Task Friction Matrix
Answer three questions about any task and get a clear verdict: do it, delegate it, schedule it or delete it.
Delete it
It's neither urgent nor important. Removing it will have no real consequences. Free up mental space.
How does it work?
The matrix combines three dimensions: urgency, importance and delegability. It's an evolution of the classic Eisenhower matrix that adds the key question many forget: does it have to be me who does it?
Each combination produces a different verdict with a concrete action. There's no grey area: the tool forces you to decide rather than ruminate.
Use it when you feel paralysed by your task list. Take each item, answer the three questions honestly and act on the verdict. In five minutes you'll have triaged the entire list.
Tip: Be honest with the delegability question. Many tasks you think only you can do can actually be resolved another way if you let go of perfectionism.
