Difficult Conversations Guide
Select the context and topic. Get a structure based on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) with specific tips to prepare for the conversation.
What is Nonviolent Communication?
NVC, developed by Marshall Rosenberg, is a communication framework based on four steps: observing without judging, expressing feelings, identifying needs and making clear requests.
It's not about being passive or avoiding conflict. It's about approaching difficult conversations with clarity, respect and the highest chance of being heard.
This tool gives you the structure. You bring the words, the tone and the courage to have the conversation you've been postponing.
Tip: Practise your guide out loud before the real conversation. Hearing your own words helps you calibrate the tone and spot phrases that might sound like accusations.
